Business Card Donts

Business Card Donts With all the time, effort and money you going to be putting into your new business the last think you want to do is make yourself look cheap by using cheap business cards.
Sure there a lot of programs about online and on CD Rom for business cards but these are just templates that do nothing to help your business card stand out from the rest. The same goes for using many of the free business cards printers out there as they just use a template as well and then put the own business information on the back of your card, sure it’s a way to save money but you don’t want to go around and promoted someone else’s business.

Doing your own business cards might sound like fun but in the long term you might just be doing more harm the good for your business, as the cards will look and feel cheap and these are the two main things that people pickup on as soon as they receive a business card. How does it look, is there anything that catches the eyes. How does it feel, is it on cheap paper thin with crooked edges, is the printing crisp and clean or is it a bit blurry. These are some of the first impressions we get when we look at a business card for the first time.

So the big thing is getting a professional to do your business cards yes it cost more but in the long run it will more then pay for itself with the business a good card can bring in. A professional printer will design a card with all your needs met but before going to print you must remember to proof read the lay out and details on the card.
The cost involved if you don’t will be a lot if the cards have to be reprinted due to silly errors like a wrong number or the address is wrong in some way. So please take your time and proof read it not just once but three or four times before going to final print, or get a good friend to proof read it and see if they can find any errors or if something can be done better. You will be surprised at what they may pickup in errors that you miss or the idea that can make your card stand out even more.

A good business card is all about quality, design, the information it contains, and the feel, these things will help your card be kept and not thrown in the bin.
